So many of our day to day problems and difficulties come from our negative minds. Therefore instead of constantly trying to change external conditions, we need to learn how to change our mind into a positive and peaceful response.
Meditation is the scientific method to transform our mind from unhappy to happy, negative to positive. It functions to make our mind peaceful and calm and when our mind is peaceful we are happy. Therefore through learning to practise meditation we can be happy all the time.
Anyone can learn to meditate and experience the many benefits.
In this series, we will look at what is meditation and how to practise meditation both formally and how to integrate it into our busy daily lives.
Teacher: The teacher, Jim Sheridan, is known for explaining the insights gained in meditation to help solve our everyday problems. He has studied Modern Kadampa Buddhism for over 35 years.
