We will be walking from Saltaire to Kadampa Meditation Centre Leeds, along the canal. (12 miles, but you can join en route at different locations, see below the route schedule)
In this sponsored walk for world peace, we are connecting with the sangha (spiritual friends) of the Dharma Centres of Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley and Leeds so it will be especially powerful and inspiring. The funds raised by each individual will go towards improving their Centre and helping give more people the opportunity to develop inner peace and wisdom.
Everyone is welcome to join the walk or part of it, with meditation stops and lunch along the way, (bring own lunch) ending with Avalokiteshvara prayers and supper at KMC Leeds, we are also celebrating the 1st anniversary of KMC Leeds so come along even if it’s just for the party at the end!
Please email admin@meditateinhuddersfield.org if you would like to participate in the walk, so we can organise practical issues such as lifts to Saltaire etc or you would like to help in other ways. Sponsor forms are available at Vajrapani Centre.
