Tired of being fooled by fake happiness and unfulfilled promises that come from the illusions of modern life? If we are searching, we will see through the deception of impure life and can begin to search for real sources of happiness and actual refuge from problems.

In daily life, we normally seek refuge from our problems, boredom and unhappiness in external sources such as technology and worldly enjoyments. But no matter how much we turn to these objects, our problems never end and our happiness remains elusive like the end of the rainbow.

This shows us they are not genuine sources of protection or happiness. In this retreat we will begin to discover true refuge from Dharma (Buddha's teachings that give us positive and peaceful minds), receive help and support from Sangha (pure spiritual friends) and faith in Buddha and his blessings to transform ourself.

General Info

Retreat is an opportunity to deepen our experience of inner peace and positive minds.

We gain familiarity and experience of Buddha's teachings - dharma - through engaging in repeated meditations, mixing our mind with the meaning and focusing on this understanding, feeling or determination with single-pointed concentration.

Then when we rise from our formal meditation session, we continue to carry and maintain our positive understanding or experience in daily life. This is how we transform our mind through meditation, in session and in daily life.

We offer retreats for all levels of practitioners from beginners to advance (those with prior experience). Each retreat will specify its level: 1. Beginners, 2. Suitable for everyone, and 3. Advanced. Most sessions have some guidance, some prayers and some silence for meditation. The purpose of prayers is to prepare our mind for meditation.

We try to keep silence or quiet atmosphere until 1 pm in and out of the meditation room to help stay free from distraction and you are welcome to stay all day. Please also feel free to bring your own food and relax in the café space or go out for walks between sessions.
