Vajrapani Kadampa Meditation Centre

Discover the benefits of meditation, and the peace that modern Buddhism can offer. We have weekly drop-in meditation classes, and weekend courses and special events to suit everyone, whether you are completely new to meditation or have more experience.

New Year, new start! Make a positive start to 2025 – weekly drop-in meditation classes start again on 14th January with a new course “Be Empowered to Change” at Vajrapani Centre, and weekly classes starting again in Denby Dale. We also have a meditation retreat with sessions daily from 14th – 27th January.

Our weekly classes include guided meditations and a talk on Buddhas teachings providing practical advice for a happy and meaningful life. Classes are self-contained so you can drop-in any week. Suitable for beginners, everyone is welcome

Everyone is Welcome

classes are based on Buddhist teachings but you don’t need to be Buddhist to attend. Seating is on chairs and you don’t need to wear any special clothing.

Our Founder & Tradition

Vajrapani Kadampa Meditation Centre was founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, a world-renowned meditation master who has founded hundreds of centres around the world as part of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union. He is the Spiritual Guide to thousands of people worldwide.
